At L.A. Sociedade de Advogados, RL we are committed to respecting and protecting the personal data of our clients, individuals and representatives of legal entities, partners, professionals, users of our website or any other person related to our activities, scrupulously following the legislation and best practices related to the protection of personal data.
Thus, we have prepared this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) to explain, in a simple, transparent and objective way, how we process the personal data to which we have access in the development of our activities.
Committed to the objective of providing services with a high degree of reliability to our clients, respecting their privacy, L.A. Sociedade de Advogados, RL has created this privacy policy based on Law No. 22/11, of June 17, Personal Data Protection Law (LPDP) to explain what personal data is collected at the level of our firm.
L.A. Sociedade de Advogados has a duty to respect your privacy and has created this privacy policy (Policy) to explain what Personal Data is collected and how it is processed internally by our employees.
Please recommend that the policy below be read carefully. It describes how the personal information provided by you when accessing and using the platform is treated. For purposes of this Policy, “Users” are all individuals who in any way use the L.A. Law Firm Platform.
Our Platform is online and accessible through the URL www.lasadvogados.co.ao which offers Users the possibility of subscribing to our newsletter and booking legal consultations.
The registration of legal entities as a User of the Platform must necessarily be carried out by a legal representative duly authorized for this purpose. For the purposes of this Policy, when the User is a legal entity, their legal representative will also be considered a “User”, to the extent that their personal data is provided and processed on the Platform.
We do not knowingly collect or solicit Information from anyone under the age of 18. Users under the age of 18 should not submit Information to us through our Platform. If we become aware that we have collected Information from an individual under the age of 18, we will disregard the Information provided and will not hold it in our databases. In order for the Platform to be able to properly offer the functionalities, it must have access to certain personal information about Users (together, the “Personal Data”).
It is not possible to offer the functionalities of the Platform without having access to this Personal Data. In other words, the processing of Personal Data is a condition for using the Platform. This Policy explains, in a simple, objective and transparent manner, which Personal Data is collected and processed by L.A. Sociedade de Advogados and for what purposes, in addition to indicating with whom they may be shared and what resources are available to Users to manage Personal Data.

1. The following Personal Data is collected and processed by us
Personal Registration Data: L.A. Sociedade de Advogados only receives or otherwise collects the following information related to Users at the time they register on the Platform:
• name;• organization you are a part of;• position in the organization;• email address.
Device Information: We may also collect device information, such as IP, date, and time of access to the Platform. It is important to mention that we do not collect personal data through cookies, pixels, beacons, or other similar tools. The use of cookies by the Platform is restricted to statistical analysis of the use of the Platform, without any link to the IP or other personal data of the user.
2. Why we collect and process this Personal Data
We use Users’ Personal Data for the following purposes:
Personal Registration Data To register the User in the Platform’s newsletter, to schedule legal consultations and to register the User in L.A. Sociedade de Advogados events.
Device Information To comply with legal obligations; We do not use Users’ Personal Data for any purpose other than those described above.
3. When we delete Personal Data
We have structured the Platform and our operations so that your Personal Data is not kept in an identified manner for longer than necessary. That is, we keep Personal Data only for the period in which it is necessary for the purposes described above, if we are required to do so by law or for the regular exercise of our rights.
We may keep Personal Data in an anonymized form, that is, without it being or being related to a User, for longer periods.
4. Who else will have access to Personal Data and why
We may share your Personal Data with other branches of L.A. Sociedade de Advogados and/or with the third parties identified below, hired to support us with the execution of the purposes mentioned in item 2 above.
Some of these affiliates and third parties may be located outside of Angola. If your Personal Data is transferred to another country, we will take the steps required by law to ensure that it remains protected, but please note that when you use the Platform and provide us with your Personal Data, it may be sent to other countries.
Business partners, such as reception and event organization companies:
· Personal Registration Data: To register the User in the Platform’s newsletter and to support the User at events in Pinheiro Neto. Judicial, police, government or other third parties with whom we are required by law, regulatory rule or court order to share the Data:
· Personal Registration Data and Device Information: In the event of a request, by means of a court order or legal or regulatory obligation, to disclose to judicial, police or governmental authorities certain Personal Data about our Users.
5. What are your rights in relation to your Personal Data
Under the terms of the Personal Data Protection Law (LPDP) – Law No. 22/11 of 17 June –, you have the right to:
i. Transparency in information on how your Personal Data is processed; ii. Access to your Personal Data;iii. Correction of Personal Data that is incomplete, inaccurate or outdated; iv. Anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary, excessive or processed Personal Data in non-compliance with the provisions of the LPD;v. Portability of your Personal Data to another service or product provider, subject to our commercial and industrial secrets, after regulation by the Data Protection Agency;
vi. Deletion of Personal Data processed based on your consent, except in the cases of Personal Data retention provided for in the LPD;vii. Information about who we share your Personal Data with;viii. Information about the possibility of not providing your consent and the consequences;ix. Revocation of your consent to the processing of your Personal Data, where Personal Data is processed on the basis of your Consent;x. Opposition to treatment that violates the LPD. Before we respond to a request to exercise the rights mentioned above, we may ask you to provide us with certain information to confirm your identity.
6. How we store and protect your Personal Data
We store your Personal Data securely in the entire system of L.A. Law Firm in Angola. We adopt the best technical and administrative practices to protect Personal Data from unauthorized access, destruction, loss, alteration, communication or any form of inappropriate or unlawful processing.
At the same time, no platform is completely secure. If you have any concerns or suspicions that your Personal Data is at risk, for example, if someone has had unauthorized access to your Personal Data, please contact us immediately.
7. Do you need to provide your consent for L.A. Law Firm to use Personal Data as described in this policy?
The LPDP establishes several situations in which the processing of Personal Data is allowed regardless of the consent of the holder of that Personal Data.
This means that if you choose to use the Platform, in some cases we may collect and process your Personal Data regardless of your consent. In other cases, we will ask for your consent to use your Personal Data.
Currently, on the Platform, L.A. Sociedade de Advogados collects, through this policy, your consent only for the processing related to the subscription to our newsletter and participation in our events. If there is any change in the processing of Personal Data and it becomes necessary to collect your consent, you will be informed (see item 9 below) so that your consent is properly collected under the terms of the LPDP.
8. Third-Party Websites
As a resource for our Users, we may provide links to other sites on the Internet. L.A. Sociedade de Advogados is not responsible for these websites and content and does not share, endorse, monitor, validate or accept the way in which these websites or content storage tools collect, process and transfer your personal and private information. We encourage you to consult the respective privacy policies of such websites to be adequately informed about the use of your personal information by other websites or other tools.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may change the provisions of this Policy at our discretion and at any time. Whenever we materially change this Policy, such changes will be valid, effective and binding after: (1) they are posted on the L.A. Law Firm website; (2) be sent by email to Users and/or (3) be communicated in any other way to Users.
The User must check the updated version of this Policy every time they visit the Platform.
In the event that changes to this Policy imply changes in our Personal Data processing practices that depend on the consent of Users (see item 7 above), Users will be asked to consent to the new terms of this Policy after the change so that they can continue using the Platform and receiving the Services.
